Ask anyone about 2020 and they will say it has been an extraordinary year in so many ways – COVID-19, business shut-downs, working from home, and government initiatives.  In an effort to keep members of the oil and gas industry informed of the many programs put forth by the CARES Act as well as industry tax issues, we have once again asked Arnett Carbis Toothman llp (ACT) to present their annual Oil and Natural Gas Accounting and Tax Seminar.  The event will be presented on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.  As much as we prefer face-to-face interaction, this year the format will be changed to a virtual Webinar via WEBEX due to COVID-19 restrictions.

In prior years ACT has presented three separate in-person seminars for the Independent Oil and Gas Association of WV (IOGA), the Pennsylvania Independent Oil and Gas Association (PIOGA), and the Southeastern Ohio Oil and Gas Association (SOOGA.)  This year these organizations are co-sponsoring the one-day Webinar.  Tax and accounting issues affecting West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania will be discussed.  Time will be allotted for questions during the Webinar and the ACT presenters will be available for questions and consultations by phone or email after the Webinar.

The following important and timely topics are on the agenda:

  • General Tax Updates for 2020 – Federal and State
  • Oil & Gas Industry Tax Updates for 2020
  • CARES Act
  • Paycheck Protection Program – Forgiveness, Tax, and Accounting Considerations
  • Purchase/Sale, Valuation, Succession and Estate Planning
  • IT Security

Attendees are eligible for 7.0 CPE credits.  CLE credits are also available.  The cost is $100 for members of IOGA, PIOGA and SOOGA.  The cost for non-members is $150.  Oil and gas investors, operators, royalty owners, service companies and accounting and legal professionals will benefit from attending this Webinar.  We hope you can attend!

Register and pay using the form below.   Payment must be received prior to the training session.

The registration deadline is November 13.

You will receive a separate link to connect to the Webex Webinar.
